East Valley Pentecostal Church is located in Mesa at 4151 E. Pueblo. The church joined the Superior Chamber of Commerce after its congregation participated in several local events as a food vendor. The members of the church enjoy selling their “Twisted Tators” and Taco Salads local events and they also enjoy getting involved with the community of Superior. The church is led by Pastor William Luckenbaugh.
About a dozen residents of Superior call the East Valley Pentecostal Church their home church. The church does provide transportation from Superior to church services on Sundays and many provide their own transportation. Church services are held at the following times: Sunday School 3 p.m., Sunday Worship 4 p.m., Tuesday Bible Study 7 p.m. and Saturday Family Prayer 5:30 p.m.
The faith based foundation of the church comes from the second chapter of the Book of Acts from the Bible. The teachings are Biblically based. Congregation member Tiffany Rowell explained that the church is a “small down to earth church family, it is a great place for children and families.” The church is a non-denominational church, their mission is being “Friendly, Up-Lifting, Life Changing”.
East Valley Pentecostal Church also hosts a Summer Camp for kids and the church also gathers frequently with other Pentecostal Churches in the East Valley to allow for additional fellowship and friendships.
