  Robert Hernandez, 70, passed away Feb. 7, 2018 in Superior after a motor vehicle accident.

  Robert was a graduate of Superior High School and served as a Navy SEAL in the 1960s. He later worked as a haul pack driver in copper mining until his retirement.

  He enjoyed cars, guns, collecting and just being outdoors.

  Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Robert Hernandez; a brother, Ronnie Bowden; and a daughter, Roberta Hernandez.

  He leaves behind his wife, Kerry of Superior; sister, Deborah Gitchell of Reno, NV; children, Arthur (Tina) Hernandez of Superior, Patrick Hernandez of Miami, AZ, Brandon McCarville (Katie) of Mesa and Barbara Buxton of Menifree, CA.

  Services for Robert will be held Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at the VFW Hall, 405 Main St., Superior.
