Maria ‘Mona’ Herrera

  Maria “Mona”  Herrera, 60, passed away due to cancer, in Gilbert on Jan. 18, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Michael Herrera; son, Ramon (Margarita); daughters, Angela (Steven), Jessica (Shane); and grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Nathaniel and Analisa.

  Maria graduated from Superior High School before attending and graduating Arizona State University. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, making crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Making people happy, dancing and having a good time were some of her favorite things.

  Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 490 Main St. in Superior on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. There will be a gathering to follow at the St. Mary’s Center. Maria will be cremated.
