Grab your cowboy hat and boots and get ready for a night of cowboy fun.
The Superior Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Night of the Cowboy celebration, sponsored by Arizona Public Service.
This western event will be held this Saturday, October 19, 2013. The evening begins at 5 p.m. at Porter’s Cafe with a no host cocktail hour and entertainment. Porter’s Cafe is located at 404 W. Main St. The Superior Red Bears will be on site grilling steak dinners until 7 p.m. Cowboy poetry and other cowboy stories will be read during the dinner hour. Tickets for the dinner/dance are $25 per person.
Attendees are encouraged to wear western attire to ensure they are not locked up by the honorary sheriff for the night.
At 7 p.m. the Chamber will recognize Manny Ruiz for his ranching and cowboy contributions to the community. Then the “Local Boys” a country western band from Florence will play until 11 p.m. for a night of dancing.
The Chamber will also be selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle and raffle tickets for a 55” Smart TV. Proceeds raised from this event will assist with the continued remodeling of the new Chamber of Commerce building on Main St.
