According to Joyce McLung at the Tri-Community Food Bank, a total of 1100 people were fed during October and this Thanksgiving holiday with food from the food bank.

Mammoth Lions Club provided six full meal boxes for six families through the food bank and 250 holiday food boxes were distributed. In Oct. 405 families received regular food boxes.

According to McLung this is the most people the food bank has served during a month in its history. “We have more of a need for food in the community,” McLung said.

Donations of food and money are needed as well as volunteers.

The food bank is located at 108 W. Redwood in Mammoth. To volunteer or to donate money, call the food bank at (520) 487-2010.
