On Thurs., Nov. 15,the school district will showcase new technology trends affecting education,gain hands-on experience with the latest technology and listen to the subject matter experts. The event is being called Bring IT.

This event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Superior Junior-Senior High School. Participants are encouraged to register for the event at http://bringit2education.eventbrite.com.

The event is being sponsored by Logicalis and other Logicalis partners. Parents, business and community leaders are encouraged to attend.

On Mon., Nov. 26 the Superior Panthers Basketball team will play the Ray Bearcats will be the opening game of the 2012-13 Basketball season. Just before the tip off of the varsity game at 7 p.m., the school district will dedicate the gym at the Superior Junior Senior High School to Manny Ruiz.

The gym at the original Superior High School was named the Manny Ruiz gym but the name was never transferred to the new school. Manny Ruiz was a long time coach and teacher for the Superior school district. Members of the SHS championship basketball team from 1974 will be in attendance at the dedication. SHS alumni basketball team members are also encouraged to attend.
