The powerful Superior Jr. High Softball team defeated Globe, 16 – 4 as they remained undefeated on the season. Starting pitcher Alicia Arriola pitched a complete game in the victory. She stuck out seven Globe hitters and allowed four runs on only three hits in the game.

The Panthers continued their aggressive offensive style as they pounded out 11 hits. The offensive stars were Elizabeth Ochoa and Jalisa Murray.

The Panthers next travel to Kearny on Mar. 20 to battle Ray Jr. High. Game time is 4 p.m.

SUPERIOR SR HS

Baseball – The Panthers baseball team earned their first victory on the season as they shut-out Globe, 4 – 0 on Mar. 5. Unfortunately, the Panthers dropped the next two games. They lost a 1-run game, 4 – 3, @ Miami on Mar. 12. On Mar. 14, Globe was able avenge their earlier loss to the Panthers by winning 12 – 2. The Panthers have upcoming games on Mar. 26 vs. San Manuel and then play a double-header on Mar. 29 @ Gilbert Classical Academy.

Softball – The Panthers defeated Globe on Mar. 14, 7 – 6. Their next scheduled game is Apr. 2 @ Coolidge HS.
