Pinal Rural Rescue had a fifth wheel travel trailer donated to them. Gerd and Mary Scholz donated the trailer to them.

Gerd and Mary are winter visitors from Canada. They were purchasing a new recreational vehicle from AJ Green at Freedom RV in Tucson. AJ told them about Pinal Rural Rescue.

Gerd had been a volunteer firefighter and worked with mine rescue in the Yukon. Gerd and Mary then offered to donate their used trailer. The trailer will be used to house visiting firefighters from other districts.

Michael Miranda and Deanna Paine have both completed their training and received their EMT IV certification. They also completed an Advanced Air-Way course.

Pinal Rural Fire Rescue is teaming up with TRIAD to install and maintain their home alone units in their service area. The home alone units are emergency pendants/telephone kits that provide assistance for people with medical issues and the elderly who may be at risk for falls or medical emergencies.
