In Genesis 1:27, “God created man in His own image.”In Verse 31 we read, “God saw all He had made, and it was very good.”From David in Psalm 139:14 we find, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful.”

In the Genesis account, each time God created something; He stepped back, took a good look at it and declared:“I am pleased with what I have made.”To quote a popular saying:“God doesn’t make any junk!”

Yet, we find among God’s wonderful creation, those who have little to nothing of self-esteem or self-worth.If this seems to contradict the works of God, it does.

In Revelation 4:11 we read about the twenty four elders who fall down in worship and declare:“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.”

Scripture indicates that God has a plan for each of our lives. He didn’t just randomly throw some dust into the air hoping that it would come together as a man.He specifically formed each of us, depositing in each one the skills, abilities and knowledge we would need.

Admittedly, some of us through indiscretion and irresponsibility have messed up what God created; but He still loves us anyway. That is the beauty of our relationship – it is based on mutual love:He loves us and we love Him.

As we live and walk in that love, we remember that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.Life does have meaning and purpose!God is good and He really does love us!
