Winkelman, AZ – The Pinal County Attorney’s Office and Arizona Department of Public Safety are asking for help from the public in identifying two young males who walked away from a fatal collision on Highway 77 between Mammoth and Winkelman on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013.
According to a spokesperson for the County Attorney’s Office, the collision occurred at 8:30 a.m. A Dodge Intrepid and a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided approximately 10 miles south of Winkelman. The collision resulted in the death of a woman believed to be in her 50s/60s. A male, also in his 50s/60s, sustained severe life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the Intrepid appear to have walked away from the scene.
Authorities are asking that any member of the public with information about the accident or having seen two young males in shorts and t-shirts on foot in that vicinity should contact AZ Department of Public Safety by calling 9-1-1.
Pinal County Attorney Lando Voyles said, "When innocent life is snatched from a family and a community, it's a moral and legal duty for those with knowledge to call authorities to help bring justice to all of us."
