Monsignor Raul Trevizo

Monsignor Raul Trevizo, a former resident of Hayden, was named monsignor by Pope Benedict XVI on February 20, 2012. The title is given in recognition of his service to the Church.

Msgr Trevizo is serving as a Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, Vicar General in the Tucson Diocese, and an Episcopal Vicar for Hispanic Affairs.

He was born in Ray, Arizona, to Raul and Antonia Trevizo. He was raised in Hayden and attended school at the Hayden-Winkelman School District, graduating from Hayden High School in 1970.

Msgr. Trevizo was a public school teacher before deciding to study for the priesthood. He attended St. Patrick’s Seminary in California and was ordained in 1988.

St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayden is honored to have Msgr. Raul Trevizo celebrate mass on Saturday, March 16, at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, March 17, at 8 and 10 a.m. A Potluck Luncheon will be held Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Hayden Senior Center for Msgr. Raul Trevizo.

Everyone from the surrounding communities is welcome to attend.
