Dr. Velia Leybas Nuño

She is married to Tomas Nuño and has two daughters, Selina and Yesenia. She is employed at the University of Arizona where she teaches Adolescent Health.

She is deeply grateful to Mammoth-San Manuel Schools and the parents and girls who were involved in the Latina Family Partnership after-school program.

Being raised in the Tri-Community has made a long-lasting impression on her.
