Head Coach Deanne Brewer said, “I am very proud of the improvements we have made since last season. We decided to change our offense, we are now running one setter (Felicia Gomez) all around the court and this has made a huge difference. Our team is solid and is playing together very well. We are moving quicker to the ball and have more confidence in each other. Our front row is doing a great row putting the ball down. Our team focus right now is seeing the other side of the court. We are working to put the ball where the other team isn’t rather than going through the motions of bump, set, spike. We get better and better each game.”
The Lady Miners hosted Chandler Prep on Tuesday and will head up to Globe on Thursday with the JV playing at 5 p.m. and the varsity playing at 6 p.m.
