The San Manuel Lady Miners varsity volleyball team traveled to Ray on Sept. 25, 2012, to face the Lady Bearcats and returned home with a 3 – 1 loss.

The Lady Miners won the first set 25 – 20 but went on to lose the next three sets 22 – 25, 23 – 25,and 22 -25.

On September 27, the Lady Miners hosted the Lady Lions from Pusch Ridge losing in three straight sets 22 – 25, 22- 25, and 16 – 25.

Head Coach Deanne Brewer said, “We are playing the game very well physically but mentally we seem to give up on ourselves. We don’t trust that we can win. It’s been a trying season, we are so close every game but we can’t get over the hump. It’s frustrating because I know we are better than our record says.”

The Lady Miners hosted Immaculate Heart on Tuesday and will host Florence on Thursday with the JV playing at 5:00 p.m. and the varsity taking the floor at 6:00 p.m.
