Softball – The Bearcats softball team started the season with two victories by defeating Globe and Miami, 8 – 1 and 9 – 3, respectively. Annie Hinojos was named player of the game in the game vs. Globe, while Stormee Galka was named player of the game in the victory against Miami. Unfortunately, the Bearcats suffered their first loss vs. San Manuel on Mar. 7, 5 – 4. Stormee Galka was once again named player of the game despite the loss. She was 3 – 3, including 3-RBI triple. The Bearcats return to action on Mar. 18 @ Florence HS. They are participating in the Salt River Softball Tournament beginning on Mar. 21.

Baseball – The Bearcats defeated San Manuel, 13-5 on Mar. 7. Alex Carrera led the Bearcats offense by going 2 – 4 with a double and three RBI. Destry Yocum had three hits, including a double and three RBI. Derek Pacheco and Altin Hing each had two RBI in the game. Carrera was also superb on the mound as he earned the complete-game victory while striking out 14 San Manuel hitters. The Bearcats next compete in the Salt River Baseball Tournament beginning on Mar. 21.
