Jane Garrett (Johnson) (Richey) passed away at home on February 25, 2013.

Jane and her twin sister Jean were born October 21, 1940 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Jane’s family moved to Oracle, Arizona in 1948 and from there she graduated from Oracle Elementary School, San Manuel High School, and the University of Arizona with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She taught public schools in Oracle, Sahuarita, and Tucson.

Jane was involved with Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star and was always working on various art projects .

Jane is survived by her sister, Jean Withers of North Las Vegas, Nevada; her brother, Ted Johnson of Mammoth; nieces, Debbie Lepino and Shari Jenson, both of North Las Vegas, and Jill Herrera of Tucson; nephew, Chip Johnson of Oracle; and eight great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Oracle Friday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at the Oracle Union Church with a reception to follow in Trowbridge Hall.
