Every year we look forward to community events like Copper Town Days! This was another successful year. It was a wonderful day to be outside listening to music by various artists and bands, talking with people, looking at primo cars, all and all just having a great day! Thank you to Fred and Marie Roybal and his crew for all the hard work they put into making Copper Town Days a success and the many sponsors that help put this event together: Oracle Ford, Family Dollar, Vantage West, The Body Shop Gym, San Pedro Valley Pizza, Coronado Utilities, Romos, Mel’s Drive In, Sun Life Family Health Center, Arizona Water Company, Rancho San Manuel Mobile Home Park, La Casita, Michelle Gonzales-Castro Farmers Insurance, Bank of the West, Dale’s Auto Collision Center, Bhp Billiton, Double J’s Mechanic Shop, De Marco’s Pizzeria, Oracle Electric Service, Oracle Land & Homes and many more. The volunteers and the time they give to the community show a strong sense of prideful citizenship.
Before and during Copper Town Days the MSM Community Schools Athletic Soccer season came to a close in San Manuel. The games began around 8 a.m. and finished before noon. Friends, parents, and grandparents cheered on the action packed youth soccer teams from the neighboring areas that encompasses four different school districts. Congratulations to all the participants of the soccer program for another fun and popular year. Everyone from the coaches, volunteers, parents, children, teachers, and viewers, all achieve significant knowledge and patience while working in conjunction with each other on and during these events.
As the events of the day played out the atmosphere seemed to be filled with joyfulness as people watched soccer, listened to music, visited with friends, walked through the booths and enjoyed viewing many cars. The fun continued on throughout the day. It was a true Arizona fall type of day in the copper corridor.
So…… Flag football is next and cheerleading/pep squad. Information will be coming out soon. If you have specific questions or need additional information, please refer to MSM Community Schools Facebook page at: Msm CommunitySchools.
