Betty L. Mantolete, 84, of Mesa, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2013.

Betty Mantolete

Betty was the first female postal carrier in Arizona. She served in Superior for 25 years as a postal carrier. She was a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her son, Johnnie (Chris) Mantolete; daughter, Bonnie Mantolete and partner Angie; three grandchildren, Chris, Jennifer and Rana; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at the Mt. View Memorial Gardens in Mesa on Tuesday, March 12, at 10 a.m.
