He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Llanez, and stepfather Pete Llanez.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Llanez; father, Eulalio Martinez; brothers, Eulalao and David Martinez; sister, Dolores Martinez; stepsisters, Linda, Terri Salvidres and Andrea Sanchez.

Services for Mr. Martinez were held Monday, Feb. 18, at Funeraria Del Angel Greer Wilson Chapel in Phoenix, with visitation from 5-7 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m.
