Town of Mammoth to have run-off election in May; eight to be on ballot

The final tally is in on the March 13 Primary Election in Mammoth and with none of the candidates receiving the requisite 51 percent of the votes to be declared an outright winner, it is necessary to call for a General Election in May.

In the election for four Mammoth Town Council seats, the tallied votes stand as follows:

• Melanie “Lanie” Reynoso – 150 votes.

• Serapio Rodriguez – 145 votes.

• Alvaro Barcelo – 137 votes.

• Juan Barcelo – 137 votes.

• Frances Wickham – 131 votes.

• Joe Brewer – 126 votes.

• Craig Williams – 103 votes.

• Bart Goff – 91 votes.

These eight will run in the General Election and the winners will be declared by simple majority.

In the Recall Election, the results were:

• Bart Goff – 79 votes.

• *Juan Barcelo – 220 votes.

• Robert Koch – 98 votes.

• *Joe Tamayo – 199 votes.

*Unofficial winners. The votes are not official until canvassed by the Mammoth Town Council.
